You can enable security for the dimension browser in SAS Enterprise GRC and in SAS Model Risk Management by setting the following configuration property to "Yes" in the SAS^® Management Console:

When dimension browser security is enabled, a user can view only the dimensions that they have permissions to see. However, this property might be ignored when a user searches for a dimension by specifying an asterisk in the Global Search window. The system might incorrectly ignore the user's permissions and return all available dimensions in the search results.

SAS Enterprise GRC and SAS Model Risk Management correctly limit the objects that are returned from a global search, based on the user's positions. However, when dimension security is enabled, global search does not limit the user's ability to see other dimension nodes.
